Virtual Event Information
In the event of an island lockdown, restrictions on social gatherings, social distancing, or enforcement of mask wearing, the Harbour2Harbour Walk will switch to a "virtual" event.
In light of the situation on the island, our Terms and Conditions of entry have been updated to include our virtual event contingency plan, and additional precautions. Please take the time to read these so that we're all doing our bit to stay safe.
A VIRTUAL EVENT WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE IF WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCEED WITH THE MASS START EVENT ON SUNDAY 16TH MAY
To participate in the virtual event, you will need to register using the standard registration form. The entry fee will remain the same, and finish certificates and event giveaway will be issued.
In the event of lockdown restrictions on outdoor activities and exercise, the distance can be completed over up to 4 walks.
You will have 10 days to complete a 9 mile walk, between Friday 14th May and Monday 24th May (inclusive).
Please adhere to any government rules around essential travel when planning your walk route. You do not have to complete the planned Harbour2Harbour route to take part.
You will be required to submit proof of the distance walked, this can be a link to your Strava, Garmin, or other online tracking system, or by submitting photo/screenshot of Fitbit or other similar activity tracker. These should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday 29th May.
If you don't already use an activity tracker, we'll be posting advice on how you can do this on our Facebook page.
Photos of you on your walk would also be very welcome. We would love to share them on our Facebook page!
Participants will receive finish certificates in the post. The event giveaway may be issued by post, or by post-restrictions collection from Thie Rosien, Port Erin.
Our Terms and Conditions have been updated for 2021. Please take a moment to read through them before registering for the event.
