Event Information


In the event of another island lockdown, or restrictions on social gathering, the Harbour2Harbour walk will switch to a "virtual" event.  

In light of the situation on the island, our Terms and Conditions of entry have been updated to include our virtual event contingency plan, and additional precautions.  Please take the time to read these so that we're all doing our bit to stay safe.

Fundraising event, Sunday 16th May 2021

Starting at Castletown Square, and finishing at the end of Port Erin bay.

  • Raising funds for Southern Community Initiatives, and SPort Erin, (more information on our Facebook page)

  • ROUTE: Castletown Square, Bypass Road, Pooil Vaaish, Carrick Bay, Gansey, Port St Mary Harbour, Raad Ny Faillon, Glen Chase, The Howe, St Mary’ Road, Port Erin Harbour.


At around 9 miles long at a leisurely 3-4 mile an hour pace will get you to the finish in under 3 hours.


A SECOND START at Port St Mary Harbour, next to the RNLI office, is available for those that prefer a shorter walk; entry fee is the same.

Marshalls will be well placed along the route ensuring you follow the course. Green MannSpring Water refreshment tables are well placed so please bring your water bottles for refilling.


Dogs are welcome on the walk - they must be kept on the lead at all times. Please include them when registering.

If you work for a local business or service why not persuade your work mates to form a team and do it together?

Entrant Fee:

  • £12.50 for Adults (18+)

  • £7.50 for children (under 18 and over 60’s)


The entrant fee also includes a free branded H2H give away, watch the facebook page for update.


Sunday 16th May

Castletown Square

10:00 - 14:15


Sign-on open from 08:30 at Castletown Square

The walk will leave Castletown Square at 10:00


2nd Start Sign-on at Port St Mary will open at 10:30

Walkers from the 2nd Start can join the walk as the main walkers come through (from around 11:15).  If you want to wait to join family or friends that are walking from Castletown, then you may do so.


Our front marker (on a bike) will arrive at the Port Erin finish at around 11:45 - if you walk ahead of him you will be walking without supervision and our marshals may not be in place - please take appropriate precautions at road crossing etc


Our back markers will arrive at the Port Erin finish no later than 14:15 - if you walk behind them you will be walking without supervision and our marshals may not be in place - please take appropriate precautions at road crossing etc


  • Please listen to our marshals and follow their instructions - they are here for your safety

  • Please walk on pavements whenever available when walking along the road sections

  • Dogs must be kept on leads at all times (and I know it goes without saying, but please pick up after your dog if the need arises!)

  • Please bring your own water bottle (filled) - water refills will be available along the route, but disposable cups will not be available

  • Please don’t litter along the route, take your litter home or use bins along the route

  • Parking will be limited - please carshare or walk to the start if at all possible

  • Don't forget to smile for the photographers!


Food and drink refreshments will be available near the 2nd Start in Port St Mary from Simply V, and at the Finish in Port Erin from Barista Express and Fire & Ice.


There will be a raffle raising money for Rushen Ambulance, so don't forget to grab some tickets.


Reminder of our Covid-19 precautions:

If any of the following apply, we request that you do not participate in the event.

  • You have returned to the island within the last 28 days

  • A member of your household as returned to the island within the last 28 days

  • You have received a positive Covid-19 test result with the last 28 days

  • You are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 28 days

  • You have been advised to shield or self-isolate

This is in line with the terms and conditions you agreed to upon registering for the event.
